Will the USA use IFRS Accounting in the future or is GAAP Accounting here to stay?


I heard they will switch, but what would happen to all the Accountants that did the CPA? Both Accounting methods are very very different.

And what Accounting should I study if I want to have a future in Accountnig? GAAP or IFRS? Is there also a thing such as International Accounting that I could study?

LoveDukeDog 		You can always take classes in IFRS later. GAAP is what we are using now, and if you want to be marketable now (or in the very near future) you'll study GAAP. The Codification of GAAP is a precurser to making US accounting standards more in line with IFRS.
