What is the Bad debts expense for 2009 if...?


Lawrence sales had a net credit sales in 2009 of 120,000. Accounts receivable are $40,000 and Allowance for Doubtful Accounts has a $200 debit balance on Dec. 31,2009. If Lawrence estimates bad debt losses based on an aging of accounts receivable as $2,400, the Bad Debts expense for 2009 is:??

You need to write off the $200 and create a credit balance of $2,400.
