On a firm's BALANCE sheet which items listed are the most important when determining to buy or sell your stock?


I just need to know what items on the balance sheet are important to a stockholder in determining whether to buy or share stocks.

LoveDukeDog 		When it comes to the balance sheet, in this environment the amount of debt is to be very carefully considered. Personally, I would not touch a company whose debt load is more than 60% of its equity.

EchoMan 		There is no one thing on the balance sheet that determines the value of the company. Its the different parts put together to form a picture and determine the liquidity and leverage of the company. Also not all debt and other items are on the balance sheet. You have to look in the annual and quarterly reports.
